Burger King Launch

North Fork of the Elkhorn River

Description

Burger King put in this launch which provides a shorter run to the takeout by the dam downstream. The trail passes behind several businesses and homes. It a short leisurely float passing under the railroad bridges just before the takeout. The launch is a little steep near the water, especially in the early season after higher water levels wash out the gravel. This is usually re-groomed each summer season. Be careful. Thanks go to Burger King for providing this access to the water trail! If you use the launch, it would be great if you said thanks for letting you have access to the river!
