This is where the small tributaries of the Bronx River come together and form a proper waterway. It cannot be paddled without rainfall in the preceding week, and the route is full of obstacles. But... boy what a special thing it is to paddle the entire 23 miles of the Bronx River from here where it begins all the way down to the Long Island Sound.
