Bluffton preserve launch on Archey Fork is north of Clinton about 11 miles. Take Highway 65 north out of Clinton about 6.5 miles to Watergate Road on the West/left side of the highway. Follow Watergate road about 4 miles out. Stay to the right at the fork. There is signage at the Watergate Road/Highway 65 intersection as well as the fork in Watergate Road indicating the direction to Bluffton Preserve. The easiest access to the river is to the left when you enter the preserve. Stay to the left at both forks once you enter the gate at the preserve. The last 100 yards is driving on pretty rough Sand bar which may require carrying depending upon your vehicle. The other two roads down to the river lead to a long carry and a very steep access with stairs down to the water. Float from here to the Archey Creek City park in Clinton is about 9 miles.
