Description
Situated in a small Village of Bere Ferrers there is a tidal quay at the bottom of the village.
If you launch from the quay/beach where there is a channel, where you can padding pass the quay which can enable you to get into main channel a lot earlier. Launch 2 hours before high tide.
Or there is a slipway but will need to wait at least 1hr before high tide for launching.
Head upstream towards lopwell dam with the tide. River narrows along the river and less current. Once up to the dam spend a short time there as you need to Come back with tide.
Parking limited but can park on roadside.
The plough inn for food and drink.
Public toilets :two paths.
One by the quay past between the houses.
Two just past the plough inn path leads down to the same toilets.
