A calm stretch of river with no rapids. From here to Cty RD C landing or the dam landing is a nice trip. There is a bar/restaurant across the street where you can get food, ice, snacks, and drinks to-go! Please try to park along the road so their parking lot has room for customers.
This is a popular place for families to swim so it can be busy at times.
Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Redhorse Suckers are common throughout this area.
Porta Potty on site. only 2 picnic tables.
If you are putting in at Star Prairie and plan to exit here, you'll experience some scary spots on this stretch. Faster moving water and large rocks. Even experienced kayakers/canoers can flip.
