Aisalby Road

River Tees

Description

Access to the river where there are a set of woodern gates and some sort of Water treatment building on the left hand side of the road as you head out of Yarm towards Aisalby. Park in the layby just beyond the gates. Once through the gates take the path to the right and access to the river is almost immediately on your left. Bit of a grassy drop to get into the water but nothing drastic. No jetty so you will be in the water up to your knees before setting off. We like this location due to the close parking and its nice and quiet. If you are lucky you can actually open tge wooden gates and park inside. There are no signs saying you can't and you can set up and be practically in the water.
