is as functional as manufacturer says. the workmanship is not very good. many things not good. the exterior finish is supposed to be high gloss. my canoe is high gloss on one side(half) and the other side (half) is dull and waxy looking. this does not come off or can it be shined up. the manufacturer says it comes from the mold used and that's the way it is. basically I am stuck with it. also my canoe has a few surface scratches on it. it has a camo finish and the scratches show up as white on a camo surface. I asked to return it and they said ok. leave the canoe and we will send you a check. DA!! not good business for me. overall the canoe is not worth what you pay for it
