Loved my little Ranger 16. Had to sell to make room for my other canoes. Great price, tough as a tank, and does everything well.
Works really well on rivers, nice and maneuverable. But also capable of sit and switch and easy to keep straight and efficient. I've used it in an amature race and actually did pretty well, granted we knew what we were doing. Has several layers of fiberglass in the construction so you are going to get much better efficiency/speed than a comparable plastic canoe, and just as tough. Goes up and over waves, seaworthy. Feels safe and secure.
I had fiberglass, yellow with black trim. Always had the best looking canoe on the water. It's a touch heavy, but super durable. Never worried about scratching or beating it up. I installed a yoke. I could paddle solo and bring the kids and putz around by myself. Clipper makes an incredibly comfortable, secure, stable canoe. Great customer service and an awesome small local business.
