Got my 9' Tangle Island Emboss in February 2014. It is an all rounder. Been using this board for almost a year now. I use it both on flat water and open water. It is a fast board, stable and has a nice glide. It is light weight and beautiful. Perfect size for me to fit this board inside my Chevy Equinox. I suggest having nose guard and tail guard plus rail tape on the board to protect this beautiful board. I do not surf or race thus am not able to comment on the performance of the board for surfing or racing
I use this board predominantly as a touring board in the water here around Tampa Bay Florida.
