I have owned an Atlantis WaV for 10 years and used it in the Gulf of Mexico as well as on many lakes and rivers. It handles better than any other kayak I have used. I use a Greenland-style paddle that I made myself and can consistently maintain a speed of 8 knots in it. My wife uses it also and has been very pleased with its stability and smooth ride.
