Bought the Cruise FD because it was faster and less expensive than the Coosa FD. I really the auto fold-up prop design since I paddle shallow water. Took a bit to get use to the lean back seating position for pedaling - very similar to a recumbent bike. If I paddle a lot, I have to re-adjust the back seat to be comfortable. Prop does protrude into cockpit when parked, the cover does not protect it. My only complaint is the steering - very sloppy - constantly have to adjust to track straight, rudder does not protrude very much, so I will be modifying it by inserting a plexi piece to give it more downward surface area. (U-tube hack). Easy to add flush mount rod holders in the back and extra mounts on gear tracks.

Bought one on clearance as a spare for family to use, was surprised how nice it was to paddle, handled almost a good as my more expensive boards. It's a great value for a starter board. Pros Durable - don't have to worry about damaging the surface. easy to paddle and plenty of tie downs. Cons Heavy (50lbs)) and miss the padding going to the front, dogs slips off. Usage basically no wave or wind, lake and small rivers/creeks.

When I was looking for my first SUP tried the Nalu at a demo day - looked like a nice starter board that could be paddled sitting and standing. Was stable and easy to paddle. Pros Like the hatch to store stuff and all the tie downs Cons A bit heavy -poly and narrow, Was hard to kneel, grooves were too wide for smaller adults and kids. Difficult to take dog no place for him to stand. Hard to carry, no center handle or slot. Usage basically lake and small creeks.

Previously owned the Supernatural, saw this upgraded fishing version and love it. Surpasses all my expectations - the paddle/bottle holder is great - don't have to lean down to get my paddle and it doesn't float away so I don't have to use a leash, which gets in the way when I fish. Pros the built in Paddle stager - the front molded hard deck with straps holds my tackle box and stuff. Plenty of tie downs for my cooler and drybags. Extra thick padding is easy on the knees. Cons It's a bit heavy Usage This is mainly my fishing SUP, both friends like to use when they are learning because it's so stalbe.

This is my first paddleboard - wanted something that was stable and easy to take care of. Built like a tank, it easily holds my 250lbs plus dog. The surface pad is very comfortable. Other paddle boards don't have anywhere to tie things down - this has many making it very easy to lash down cooler and drybags. Pros indestructible, lots of tie downs, very stable Cons heavy, a bit slow expected Usage lake and creek paddling, fishing and camping

Bought a couple of these for the family - very basic board, was fun to play with but really not made for constant paddling, they were slow and heavy and seem to oil can a bit. Good for playing around but not for serious paddling. Pros low cost, no worry plastic Cons heavy, slow Usage touring

The original Pungo was the first recreational style boat that introduced kayaking to the average person. I own several - they are EXTREMELY stable, can be paddled by anyone from a child to the heavier than average person. Easy to get into with the long, wide kayak. Very efficient, easy to paddle and comfortable - you'll do circles around canoers with no training required. Used ones are hundreds less then the new styles. Was later marketed by Victory model called Navigator.

I've had my Ocean Kayak Prowler Angler for 5 years and love it. It's great for larger folks (250lbs) but you may have to plug the scupper holes to keep water out. Very stable, tracks well (seldom use the rudder) and has a large tank well for my fishing gear. Handles surf and swells easily. The rubber like full seat is the most comfortable I've used, too bad you can't buy separately for my other yaks.

I built a Super from a kit back in the 70's when I was kid, this was the boat that launched me into 40yrs of kayaking. Even though it was a frame and vinyl construction, it was extremely resilient to damage. It is extremely stable even when siting on the flip up back rests. Folbot doesn't supply replacement skins, which were actually a very thick multilayer Naugahyde, but you can find one in great condition, you have a great stable boat. It is heavy but paddles great, there are rudder and even sail kits for these for more fun. A gem.

My Royalex Bell Rockstar is my favorite canoe to use paddling small streams and casual paddling. It tracks great and turns easily. Unless you have small feet, it is difficult to kneel under the standard seat. Initial stability is somewhat tipsy sitting, so I did lower the seat about 1.5 inches. Carries my hound and some overnight gear and never get a drop over the bow or side.
