For the price and what you get, this is a great kayak. Sure its not going to be very fast, or track all that great, but for the people looking at an entry level kayak, this one is hard to beat. Cockpit size is great, no dry storage, but dry bags work just fine. Seat isn't overly comfortable, but good enough for a few hours playing on the water. Great way to get on the water for a small investment.

This paddle is an upgrade from cheaper paddles that often get included with cheaper kayak paddles. I found the paddle to be considerably lighter than other aluminum paddles and at a price that won't break the bank. Its a very good recreational paddle

I've taken the Spirit II on a number of river trips. Mine is a royalex model and has proved to be very durable while not overly heavy. On one camping river trip, I had roughly 700 pounds in it between the 2 paddlers and gear. The canoe handled it great. The Spirit 2 is a good paddler and fairly stable. I am very happy with it.

Spent one river trip in this kayak and found it enjoyable. The back support left be a little sore and the foot rest seemed a little flimsy, but held up fine. The dry storage in the rear leaked like others have stated. Over all it allowed me to get out on the water and have fun. A little work here and there on it would fix any complaints I had about it.
