FatAss Quad

The FAQ is a great board. This is my whitewater/surf/travel board. I love that I can roll this board up and take it anywhere. It's made in the USA, it's stable, and durable! This board is wide, wide equals stable. But not wide where it feels like a dock. One thing that helps this board stand apart is the pump. Most inflatables come with a cheap pump made by another company. Not the ULIs. Their pump is made for their boards. Very high quality. The con is they are not cheap to be replaced. But I suspect unless I abuse the pump, I won't need to. I know people with other inflatables and they have been through several of their pumps. This board is slow in flatwater. I wouldn't use it as my primary touring board. It's not awful in flatwater, just not the best. I wouldn't use it for my weekly group meetups. But if I'm running rivers, hitting the surf, or going to be traveling, this is the board I use Pros This is a made in the USA, high quality, take anywhere board, that can be surfed, run river rapids, and packed into a duffel bag to take anywhere! Cons Short, so it's a little slow. But not slow enough that I wouldn't use it for exploring while traveling. Usage Surf, rivers, traveling
