I've just been paddling surfski's for the past couple years - all are older models. I recently got a Mako and as the last review said extremely hard to balance which is no lie, still can't paddle it. The guy I got it from must have been thanking god he found someone to take it off his hands.

I would never buy a Mako Pro again, by far the most poorly put together boat on the market, leaks, ripples in the hull, just a poorly manufactured boat. Buy a Fenn.

Boats leak and are too expensive, and you could do better buying a Fenn Ski.

Pure racing machine. This 27lb surfski is about 13.5 inches at the waterline and has a very round bottom, slight rocker, and lots of vertical volume in the bow. Deep seat, with footwells only .25 inches lower. Extremely fast and stiff. Screams down swells, bow stays clear. Very responsive rudder. Handful to balance and get back into once you huli. Good finish. For very experienced paddlers.
