We rented a couple of SUPs for a long weekend, to give it a try. We live on a river, and weren't sure if the current would be a problem. Entire family tried them out - ages 16-50.
Pros
Loved these boards. They were easy to carry, and maneuvered great in the river. We could easily travel against the river current and then coast back down. Great activity for all ages.
Cons
Boards marked easily, which is a shame because they are so nicely designed.
Usage
Exercise, touring, friendly racing, would like to attempt yoga on the board.

The Wave Rider is a solid board. I use it for mostly kicking it around the Gulf near Tampa. It feels balanced and tracks well in small waves. I am 6'5" and like a smaller board for its maneuverability, but I don't want it to be squirrelly. This is a solid board and I recommend it for any level.
