I rented one of these in Santa Cruz to go look at the kelp beds. It was a big boar, nice and stable, and a good ride for mucking around on. I did about two hours on this board and I appreciated how easily it paddled. I wish there were some small waves I could have tried it on, but the beaches were pretty crowded.
I liked the thin rails, which were easy to grab. It wasn't very heavy for its size.
This is a big boy. It's almost too big to be an all-around board, unless you're over six feet tall.
I used it for casual touring.
Good stable board for beginners to learn on. Good glide speed and durable.
Stable platform that is good on flat and choppy water
Painted outer layer is easy to nick the paint or scratch. Since it has automotive grade paint the glassing imperfections can be seen easily
Beginner used for exercise and will try yoga on board since you have to engage your core muscles to stay on board
