I wonder if this paddle is made by the same manufacturer that makes Sea Eagle’s AB30 paddles. Its design and appearance is nearly identical with the exception that the blade says "Solstice" on it instead of "Sea Eagle" (and the fact that the Solstice paddle is only 231 cm long versus Sea Eagle's 239 cm). Having the same design would explain why it can have one of the same issues that the AB30 paddles do: the through-hole on the blade's spring/push-button mechanism (for attaching it to the paddle handle) too easily gets worn open to a big enough size that the silver push button can slip through the hole. Other than this potential issue, it is a decent recreational paddle and can be broken down into a longest length of 30.25 inches, which makes it easier to pack into small spaces, even into luggage for travelling.
