Showbiz was the first Riot…

Showbiz was the first Riot kayak I had the opportunity to play with, it was also the first boat I used with such straight lines on it. So it felt weird when feeling out the edges for the initial few runs. But if you hang in there for a bit it really doesn't take long to figure it out. It's a nice tough boat to go thundering through a river with and it can play nicely too. The riot boats are built out of xytec plastic, very tough, and repairable. A nice feature if your one of those people who like to really move and shake everything around you. Showbiz has LOTS of leg room, a feature that I really liked, easy ajustment for leg length. The moulded seat however was difficult to get set up. I spent a lot of time here. Had no problems manoeuvering this kayak around the river or ocean waves, a small mod to the tail of the boat ( adding a surfing fin ) really enhanced its wave riding ability. Rolls nicely. This kayak is not for smaller paddlers, my wife of 5' 2" , 110 lbs was quite lost in this one.

This boat is probably one of…

This boat is probably one of the most underrated deals out there. For $650 you can get a boat that will do pretty much anything you want to. I was suprised at how much it rips. It's a great freestyle/play boat. The flat planing disc makes for great flatwater spins, and it cartwheels pretty darn good too. The only drawback is the molded seat which lowers the comfort level, but that can be fixed with some creative outfitting.
