I had been looking for a rack that would store my kayak paddles vertically to reduce the wall space needed for horizontal racks. After much study, I picked the Talic wall mounted paddle rack designed for 9 paddles (Talic also has 4 other racks, ranging from 1 to 5 paddles). The rack was shipped the day after I ordered it.
This rack, the widest currently made by Talic, measures 29.5 inches wide. The rack has two supports that mount to the wall, and are spaced so that you can mount each support on a stud if your wall has the normal stud spacing of 16 inches apart. All mounting hardware is included. Installation took less than a half hour.
The rack is made of ash and 11 ply birch plywood. It looks absolutely gorgeous on the wall! Fully loaded, the paddles do not strain the rack at all. It provides a lot of support. The paddles are easy to remove or hang on the rack. I highly recommend this rack!
