Thhis kayak is amazing...

Thhis kayak is amazing plenty of room, storage and places for my tackle

We are new to kayaking, so...

We are new to kayaking, so don't have a lot of experience with other kayaks to compare this to. We wanted something stable, comfortable and that handled well. We bought two of these (not the angler version) and are very happy with them. The price was good and the weight is around 36 lbs, which is easier to handle than some of the others we thought about. We've had them on the river a couple times so far and they were very stable - we didn't have any large waves to deal with - just the current, smaller waves and an occasional wake from a boat, but never even had a hint of being tippy. The cockpit is good-sized with knee pads and foot pegs. It's nice to have the covered storage compartments. Also, we've been able to move at a good speed with these. We went with Magic Paddles that are working out well also. Very happy with the purchase and it's great to get out and enjoy the beautiful rivers and lakes we have in the area.
