Having been a kayak guide I…
Having been a kayak guide I had always used front zip Lotus with pockets for holding emergency gear. Once I started whitewater paddling I kept using the same front zip that I already had. I noticed lots of other paddlers using the Sherman and thought I saw some benefits. Boy was I right. The Sherman is a zip free pull-on which I love for whitewater, it makes it lower profile with more room for funky close-in strokes. It's the perfect WW PFD!

It still works after all…
It still works after all these years. I should probably replace it but it works, looks great and is comfortable. Not too hot in the summer and keeps me warm enough in the winter. I assume it still floats. I am pretty sure it does but after 10 plus years of occasional use it is time to buy a replacement.
