I have a 20 year old Scout…

Submitted by: paddler1708124 on 9/8/2021

I have a 20+ year old Scout which has served me well on numerous expeditions in the BWCA, Quetico, Lake Superior and many Rocky Mt. lakes. I made an inexpensive square sail for downwind travel. I broke the rudder mount but found I didn't need it and rarely used it anyway. I previously owned an Aerius 1 and 2 both, and I liked the smaller Scout better. It's can carry plenty of gear for a lengthy excursion (10 days on 1 occasion), and is very stable even in the wind and waves of Lake Superior - to sum it all up - I Loved it - past tense, because I recently donated it to a local BSA troop.
