First, the board: the Vanhunks INDUNA is the perfect board for me—a newbie. The INDUNA is wide and shorter than some of the faster Vanhunks boards. But that exactly what I need,
In spite of it being a “stable” board I find it tracks well. I can average five paddle strokes before having to change sides.
The INDUNA is also easy to load atop my SUV roof due to its light weight. And the hand hold is perfectly positioned for balance and comfortable on long carries.
On the water the INDUNA is very stable—stable enough for me to carry out a few yoga poses.
If you are new to SUPing or are looking for a nice, stable broad I recommend the Vanhunks INDUNA.
Now, about Vanhunks: my experience with Tyrone Cochrane of Vanhunks (Sarasota FL) has been fantastic. A Tyrone offered so much good information when I purchased an IMPI board for my wife that when it came time for a board for myself I returned to Tyrone at Vanhunks without considering another vendor. In fact we bought two kayaks from him as well. On that day Tyrone suggested we meet at the water instead of the showroom. He bright my board and the kayaks and let us paddle as long as we like. What awesome service!
