i pre ordered the pedal…

i pre ordered the pedal version of this kayak and it took over 7 months to arrive and the pedal drive was pretty bad. If you pedal too quickly the drive pops out of the plastic clamp that holds it down. You also can't lift the drive out easily when coming to shore and need to unscrew a few clamps. Hoodoo keeps on deleting any negative reviews as well so they can't be trusted. The fin drive version mostly works but people saying the clips come undone and you can't go backwards.

They claim they are working on a fix but it's been months so I just sold it and got an old town sportsman pdl 120 and no complaints.

Coming from a paddle kayak…

Coming from a paddle kayak and recently diagnosed with RA the Impulse 120 has been a game changer. Sucker is so comfortable I often refer to it as my caddillac. Being comfortable helps me stay out longer and get more trips in.

The seat is another huge highlight as it is as well super comfortable. In the high mode on the seat you csn see out in front of you better and dor me helps me sight cast to redfish. Super easy to stand up since you are already so high and the 120 is extremely stable.

Very happy with this kayak. Will review again at the end of the year.

I've taken it out 10 times this year and cant wait for my 11th trip out.

Another highlight is how shallow the kayak can get.

Reliable, stable, super comfortable platform that looks slick as well.

Super stable and smooth. Love the option to use a propeller or fin style drive. Only one on the market for that. This kayak is a beast!

The Hoodoo Impulse 120…

The Hoodoo Impulse 120 offers an angler a great platform for rigging with multiple gear tracks, a great vantage from the adjustable seat and is extremely stable. I’ve enjoyed mine thoroughly and didn’t have to break the bank to get into a pedal driven kayak.
