I picked this up on Let Go for $100 delivered to the house. Sight unseen. Needed new lines, thigh pads, bow hatch cover, and a good heavy UV coating.
It was surprisingly in good shape. Very limited scratches.
The bow curves up REALLY nicely to cut through the waves. I've taken it out in 2-3 foot swells with 0 issues here on the intracoastal in Daytona.
With great knee/thigh pads, you really feel one with this boat. It edges GREAT upstream.
Weathercocks a bit downstream but easily fixable by aiming a little different direction.
Designed by Tom Derrer from EddyLine, this is an amazing kayak. I've seen a few out there up in the $4-500 range that are in great shape. I'd easily pay around 350-400 for one.
it is a 2 layer Rotomolded kayak. The plastic is a hair softer than the newer kayaks but it seems to be a little better quality. I really don't know how to explain it. The interior layer seems sprayed in.
High quality. Get you one if you can grab it cheap. Tom at TopKayaker has been a great asset in having parts for it.
