I have been very happy...

I have been very happy with my Seaweed colored 124F. I fish for largemouth from this kayak in a nearby catch and release lake. This is my first kayak and I wanted to start with basics.

When I bought it, I thought that I would be able to stand in the 124F, but I don't think its stable enough for that so I haven't tried. I've been able to fish while seated. I'm 6'2" 180 pounds. I plugged the seat scuppers, but after a couple hours of fishing, I have a wet butt and some numbness.

Overall, I'm pleased with this yak. It does everything I need to catch largemouth.

The rear compartment...

The rear compartment design is terrible. If you don't keep a cover on the kayak and it rains the kayak fills with water. This can also happen if you're in rough waters although I rarely ever have this kayak in rough water.

Great affordable kayak...

Great affordable kayak with some noticeable design flaws.
Weight: around 50 lbs. easy enough to lift over your head onto an SUV kayak roof rack. Stability: very stable, have been in some choppy water, don't recommend it for that purpose but handled well. Tracking: for the short length it tracks fairly well, not the fastest, but relatively straight. Not the best in current, flat water handles very well. Against current, you may have to fight to keep straight.
Comfort: I'm 6 ft 220 lbs, I'm pretty comfortable in it, even with the lack of cushioning on the butt, it's not terrible Design: main gripes I have with the kayak are the lack of foresight in the design. The scupper holes are placed in the seat and the footrest area. The seat scupper holes will ensure you to have a wet butt due to them being lower than the height of water. If you are lighter, you might have a dryer experience, until you start to gain speed and all the water rushes into that scupper hole leading to a wet butt. You can plug them but then it defeats the purpose of having scupper holes. There is also a lack of scupper holes in the front and back storage areas which means during choppy rides, they will get swamped and anything you have in there will be sitting in a puddle of water. I added my own foam cover for the front hatch to prevent the swamping. The rear hatch is a nice feature, but too small for any real storage. I've added a cat bag inside to prevent my stuff from rolling around in the kayak, ok for keys and wallet, but not much use for anything else. Overall I like the kayak, very affordable, gets me on the water, and lots of stuff you can do to mod the kayak to make it your own. Anchor trolley, paddle holders, more hatches, I've tried adding a raised seat which seems to help with the wet butt, but ultimately makes the kayak feel more tippy. I'd rather have a wet butt than a flipped kayak. For the price I paid, 220 at Dicks during their kayak sale, I don't think you can get much better for a decent kayak you can fish from.

Tracks well and is very...

Tracks well and is very stable and fun. It hurts your bottom after a short while. If you could put some sort of seat in it like those elevated cloth seats it would be great! It has built in slots to drop your rods in that work as rod holders. It has built in dry storage. These are very good for the money!

This was my first kayak. I...

This was my first kayak. I did a lot of research and this was highly recommended as I also wanted it to be a sit on top (sot) style. It was an excellent first pick. It worked great for fishing, it tracked nicely. It had the main features you’d want without having to buy add-ons. It’s an excellent product. Even the floor scuppers that I had kinda been worried about with taking in water actually were a benefit to have and allowed me to wash my muddy feet off after launching from the muddy embankment and acted as a drain when pulled out to get the dirty water out. Thank you!

Me and my wife have both...

Me and my wife have both been out on ours twice now and we both enjoy them for recreational use. Hold me 235 lbs and a 50 lbs dog just fine. They are stable enough for me to get my dog back in without tipping over. It is my first kayak that I have owned but I am happy with the purchase.
