Rangeley 17 Description

Based on the traditional Rangeley concepts of the turn of the century these hulls excel at rough water handling in large windy lakes. The latest in materials allows us to manufacture these time-tested styles in modern materials and offering tremendous weight savings for easy handling and car topping. Resilient Royalex hulls offer no maintenance for years to come and a sturdy rigid hull. With a 51-inch beam, the boats outperform most of all modern canoes and allow for safe reliable cruising under power, as well as tremendous efficiency when rowed from the center position. With a very high capacity for gear and anglers, the Rangeley 17 will be a wonderful option for those looking for a full-sized Rangeley styled boat for all hunting and fishing environments. We offer the boats in the traditional wood trim or with robust vinyl gunwales that allow for rod holders and accessories to be mounted securely.

4star. I love my Rangeley 17…

4star. I love my Rangeley 17 I use it almost exclusively in saltwater with a 2.5 hp Suzuki and it moves along fine for me. It can take a wave or two. I don't worry about the wake from bigger boats or when the wind kicks up a bit. It also rows very well. Only drawback is the hull flexes abit more than I would like. I transport it on a small trailer and it is easy to take on and off without submerging the trailer wheels.
