If you do a lot of serious canoeing or kayaking, you know it's almost impossible to keep your feet dry. If you wear running shoes, you end up bringing a shoe full of water into the boat every time you step back in. I recently found a shoe made by Columbia that eliminates this problem, it's called the Drainmaker III.
It looks like an ordinary running shoe but it features 'drain ports' in the sole and a perforated inner sole that allows any water that enters the shoe to quickly drain out the bottom as you step back into your boat. To demonstrate this, I've put together a short review video. Please have a look:
