I'm not much of a surfer, but this SUP board was easy to figure out the whole SUP thing with. I had a ton of fun on it, and would totally recommend it to anyone wanting to have fun SUP-ing.

What a great ride on this easy-handling lightweight board. For women under 145 pounds, board length and weight are important, so this California Board Company's 9' SUP makes getting to the water and working the water easy, ready to take on varied water conditions, and enjoyable. Once I feel comfortable on a board, learning new maneuvers and tricks to increase turns and strokes are what make boarding fun and challenging.
Pros
Size, weight, even the color were most important to me, initially, then the California Board Company's 9' ease of handling became my biggest thrill!
Cons
I would like a sandpaper effect since I ride barefoot and often encounter mud and algae while canal hopping.
Usage
This board is definitely my exercise and it allows me to see wildlife unseen otherwise.

Super happy with my California Board Company SUP. It's extremely fun, light and easy to use. There is nothing better for my soul than getting out into the wild and being with nature. I am so excited and grateful for this new way to explore. 10/10 thumbs up!

This is not a good board. I have not paddleboarded often, but when I have, I have never had any trouble. I got this board because it is supposed to be good for beginners, so I thought it would be good for the whole family. It definitely is not. None of us can use it. It is not stable, hard to mount and balance, and sits low in the water so there is a lot of drag, hard to move it forward or turn. (I am 140 lbs.) Gave it two stars because at least it floats!
Pros
Lightweight.
Cons
Not stable. High drag, water flows over the edge even in flatwater. Hard to move forward or turn.
Usage
Touring, mostly flatwater on lake, some wake from boats.

This board was okay. I bought another after my XL Freestyle got a hole in it. I wasn't overly impressed. The stability of it was fine. typical of it's width but it seemed to drag a lot. it had a very low profile in the water. I am only 200 lbs and it seemed to coast terribly
Pros
Typical stability, economic
Cons
slow, terrible coasting, heavy
Usage
Exercise, Touring on the beach casually, Fishing

Hello I am from Gatineau Canada and I have purchase this sup from Costco here in Gatineau 2 summers ago. For some odd reason I had not install the fin. This summer when it came time to do the installation, I found out that I had not the right fin for my SUP. The package contains 3 fins which do not fit. I only need one fin.
Pros
We are very satisfied with it.
Cons
I would like to know if I can purchase the right fin for my SUP. Or I could send you the package I have on hand for replacement. Also my paddle is missing the gadget that will allo me set the hight. Let me know if I can purchase that gadget or if I should buy an new one.
Usage
I use it as touring on the Gatineau river near my cottage, the kids use it very much also. But it would be better use if we had the right fin.. Thank you for your help.
