Borneo Description

Inspired by the legendary Tobago, a best seller for 10 years now, the new Borneo is a brand new family oriented double Sit-On-Top, with a number of innovative features, notably the possibility of solo use in equal paddling comfort to double. Its innovative shape and generous dimensions give it great glide while retaining reassuringly comfortable stability. It's also got a large rear section including a big flat storage area. There's innovation in the equipment and fittings too, like the integral wheels/ rollers for easy transportation. And there's a molded deck insert for storing the wheels/rollers while sailing. Clearly a future benchmark boat in its category.

Purchased this year as our…

Purchased this year as our first family kayak, and so far its perfect for me, wife, and 3 year old. Our total weight plus gear is about 420lbs, and the kayak tracks and paddles well. The wheel system is very convenient for where we put in. I'm planning to add a hatch or two to increase cargo capacity, but the rear stowage is relatively adequate for beach picnics and the like. Although we were advised we could skip getting the child their own seat, we opted to do so and he really likes it. At 13'6" and 75lbs, this is a bigger kayak, so plan accordingly for loading and unloading. Overall we're really enjoying it!
