12'6" x 29" Tracer Description

Launched in 2015 and lauded for their impressive performance, smooth feel on the water and eye-catching graphics, the Tracer series has been updated to improve speed and glide as well as comfort and stability. The flat section under foot has been extended forward towards the nose to improve stability while a lower profile piercing nose increases efficiency by smoothly parting the water on entry. A squared off 'chisel' shaped tail reduces drag and the standing area was revised to more efficiently shed water. Deck attachment points make it easy to secure extra gear for extended trips. A new brushed white Carbon-Innegra finish throughout the board looks great, reduces weight and improves durability while protecting the board from overheating in the sun.

I received this board as a retirement gift and now I paddle alone. This board is so fast that my friends and family can't keep up. Not only is this board fast its light and stable even in open water chop. If I swap boards with a friend they don't want to give it back! I love this board! Pros Light weight stability and fast. Cons I had to return the first board for warranty issues on the final clear coat. The skin started coming off after only a few weeks use. The second board has not had the same problem after a season of use in New England fresh and salt water. Usage Exercise, overnight travel and long day tours.

Was looking for a board for exercise and long distance touring both on a river and lakes. Tried 5 different displacement boards, including the 14' size of the C-TEC TRACER. This one was fast with just enough stability. Have taken it out on several trips on the Connecticut river, including with a strong Spring current. SUP performed very well. Have done several trips of 5 - 7 miles and great exercise Would highly recommend if this is the type of board you need. Pros Fast ,light, stable looks great. Great for long distance paddling/exercise Cons Beautiful board, but gets scuffed up on edges from paddle. This is expected, but more noticeable given the bright red shiny surface that shows all the marks and scuffs Usage Exercising, Touring

I recently demoed this board while vacationing in Florida. I absolutely love it! It is fast, responsive and stable. I was also able to do some yoga on the board, even tree pose which is hard on a 29" board. This is also a very sharp looking board. It has areas for securing gear on the front which is good for me since I like to do distance paddles. It is also light weight and has two extra handles on the sides in the middle for carrying. I was able to do pivot turns with no problem. I think I have found my new board! Pros Light weight, responsive, fast. Cons Usage Touring, racing and exercise.

BIC wins the new class of SUP boards. For those advanced paddlers up to to 6' weighing no more than 190 and wanting a board with race performance in the 12'6, and light weight( I am 67) at 29" wide with stability, this is it. Pros This is my 4th board over 3 years. I ride 50% flat intercoastal water and 50% open Gulf. This board with its sharpe entry is a great all around board for the Tampa Bay area. Cons NONE Usage Cruising and race.

I finally found my new board!…

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 11/30/2014
I finally found my new board! I just have to save my pennies and sell my old board. The graphics on this board are stunning in real life. Pictures don't do it justice. It feels much lighter than it's claimed twenty seven pound weight in hand. From the first paddle stroke this thing took off much faster than other boards I have ridden. It also glides and tracks very well. The balance point for standing is large and forgiving. Some other boards nose dive or ride too high if you're not exactly at the balance point, not this board. You have two feet of leeway. I'm six feet tall and two hundred pounds and this board was stable and fast, quite the feat. I was able to jump-hop and walk around and do bow pop up pivot turns with ease while never feeling unstable. I tried the twenty seven inch wide version of this board along with this twenty nine inch wide board. The narrower one didn't perform any better but was significantly less stable. The bow is shaped like an Epic kayak with a very sharp entry that cuts through water keeping tracking very straight and surely to eliminate bobbing in chop. I just demoed many SUP models from Bote and Sic earlier in the day and the Bic Tracer blew them out of the water on price, performance and fit and finish. I LOVE this paddleboard! Pros light, durable, awesome finish and graphics in real life, comfy slight concave deck pad, extra side handles, fast-gets going in 1-2 paddle strokes, cuts right through the water with ease, quiet paddling Cons I would love this shape in Bic's Ace Tec construction for a lower price point but I'm sure it wouldn't look as nice. Usage I did a long demo on a lake behind Bill Jackson's on the 29" and 27" wide 12'6" Bic Tracers.
