The board looks great and fun to paddle, but the handle is not placed on the balance point, which makes the board difficult to carry. In addition, mine weighs 15 kg, much more than what is specified by Bic (12.5 kg).

Took this SUP out for my first ever attempt and I really liked the board. Very stable and with practice on my part would be very maneuverable. I was at the limit of the board but it still seemed stable enough even though it was sinking a little more than I though it should. Overall a great entry level board. Pros Very durable and stable, decent price if you want to purchase. Cons Overall good board, too new at the sport to critic Usage Just recreation use

Great board. I have an ace-tec 10-6 and the wing and I much prefer the wing. It's faster and much better in rougher water. It's smooth and doesn't slap on the water like the 10-6 does. However, the wing is a little less stable and takes slightly more skill to maneuver in the wind. My wife loves the 10-6, I love the wing so everybody's happy. Pros It's fast and smooth. Cons Less stable than a wider non displacement board. Usage Touring and fitness.

The Ace Tec Wing 11' is definitely my "go to" board for touring in flat water or in the ocean (mild/moderate chop). Excellent all aound board for all level paddlers. I saw a significant improvement in speed as well as maneverability during my first SUP race when using this board. Pros Durability, stability, reliability, affordability, and speed! Cons None Usage Primarily for touring and racing

I went to a demo day having never paddleboarded before. I tried many boards high and low end. This board was the easiest to stay upright and tracked well. Pros Easy to stay upright and could take the abrasion of beach sand without marring the finish. Cons After learning a bit more, I replaced the fin.with one that helped tracking. Usage Exercise, surf, long distance lake touring.

I use this board to fish on the Potomac River, in shallow water with lots of rocks. The board is quick, stable, and best of all, durable. Every time I use it, I scrape over rocks, get swept into rocks, get wedged between rocks, etc. Despite scratches everywhere, the skin has not punctured. I did have to change the fin to a wider, more shallow, swept back fin, as I was afraid I was going to tear out the fin box when hitting rocks I could not see. Pros Durable, stable, reasonably quick. Cons Hard to accessorize for fishing. (I look at the Bote boards, and they seem dialed in. But they are also twice, or more, the price. Usage Fishing, although I cover a lot of ground so like that it is fast and stable.

Excellent, stable board. Great for long distance touring, stays strong in choppy water and windy conditions. Does not scratch easily so there are less problems launching from difficult spots. A little on the heavy side but reasonably priced and a very good value. Pros glides well even in choppy water, is stable even when there are motor boats with lots of wakes. I often think I am just skimming across the water. Was a very good value base on the performance. Cons It is on the heavy side Usage exercise and touring

This is one of my favorite boards to paddle! As a woman, the size provides me with plenty of stability and confidence to play with different maneuvering techniques. It cuts through the current like butter and I can easily maintain a steady, efficient pace. Most importantly, its durability gives me greater piece of mind. Pros Cons Usage Exercising, touring, racing (bic one design races using 12')

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 5/10/2014
I have a waterfront home on a lake and I am near the beach in New Hampshire . I bought my 'Wing' due to the great review given by the '2013 Outside Magazine Buyers Guide'. New to the sport I educated myself as to which board I needed. This board has served its purposed(with excellent, efficient performance)on the lake as well as the ocean. I had confidence on the board due to its stability as well as the thrill of being on a board that was fast and cut thru choppy water. Being an athletic woman, I like to drive my equipment to see the ultimate performance and this board did not disappoint. Thank you' BIC' for such a great addition to my toy box!!! Pros Everything Cons Nothing Usage Racing, Touring, Exercise, Surf
