I love the fs12 it's a perfect size! Very stable to stand and fish from. Lots of room for storage. I was going to go with the fst12, but the larger size was not practical.... All of the accessories you can get for it are awesome! Bass pro did it again!!!!!!!

For the price a very good boat for beginner or intermediate. Good handling characteristics and stable. Nice for lakes and fun on calmer rivers.

I purchased my Ascend FS12 Sit-on about two years ago. I've never been disappointed, and it now serves as my introduction kayak for friends who are hesitant or nervous about picking up the sport. Super stable, holds a lot of weight/gear (I'm 6'4" & 240), very reliable, lots of storage space and very durable. I've been on Lake Pleasant, down the Verde River at +325fps, and Canyon Lake (AZ) and never fallen in (except on purpose)... I love this kayak. Definitely recommend this one!

A very stable BUT heavy kayak (68 lbs.). Most comfortable seat I've seen in any kayak and it can be removed and used on shore. No real water tight storage. Harder to paddle due to the width and weight. Still not a bad beginner boat.

Picked this kayak up on 6/21/14 and took it out for its maiden voyage the next day. Went to Mountain Island Lake just west of Charlotte, NC. This kayak is big and heavy, yet is easy to paddle and maneuver. I am 6'4" and 270#. There is plenty of room for me and all my gear. The framed seat is very comfortable, and still felt good after 3 1/2 hours of paddling. I have a 240cm paddle, and may go a bit longer. Overall, this is a great kayak for fishing and just paddling around lakes and mild rivers. Will eventually take it the New, Dan, and Yadkin rivers in NC and see how it does. Will report back afterwards.
