HardTop™ STUBBY 9 Description

The revolutionary HardTop™ hybrid combines Walker Bay's patented AirWeb™ construction with two large RigiDeck™ EVA covered fiberglass steps. The stiffness of AirWeb™ means the board tracks better than other inflatable SUPs while the rigid steps make it feel exactly like a rigid board while paddling. While other inflatable SUPs flex underfoot and are difficult to balance, the HardTop™ is just as rigid as a fully rigid board but with the convenience of an inflatable SUP. The STUBBY 9 is a great option for everyone just looking for fun. The shorter length and wide design mean it is stable and more maneuverable than a longer board. It comes with bungee tie downs for gear and there are also attachment points so a kayak seat can be added for even more versatility.

This was my first SUP…

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 4/3/2015
This was my first SUP purchase. I wanted something I could take from my lake to the Gulf, etc. it is such a pain to inflate that I have yet. To deflate it (I'd had it for over a year). It is really only for flat water, I am not confident to take it into any body of open water at all. This board gets you no where in any kind of chop. However, it is super sturdy and has been knocked around a few times, ran into seawalss, etc and no phones or anything. The grid you stand on hurt my feet after about 15 minutes so I purchased some scuba socks to wear. Pros Super-sturdy, good for flat water and maneuvering through tight places Cons Grid under your feet, not very versatile Usage exercise
