airSUP 100SL

After seeing a guy at my favorite local lake pull up in his compact car, pull a bag out of the trunk, and start paddling a SUP within a few minutes, my paddling life had changed forever. While I was still bumbling around with my kayak roof-rack straps, he was half-way out in the lake on his airSUP inflatable SUP. I realized that's what I wanted, and the following weekend, I too was spending less time in the parking lot messing around with roof-racks and tie-down straps, and far more time on the water. I chose the AirSUP 100SL because it was compact, great looking, and super easy to inflate and carry in my car. Also stores nicely in my apartment's bedroom closet, which is big plus for me. Despite the fact it's inflatable, there's no sacrifice in performance, this is just as fun as any rigid SUP I've tried. Well worth the price, exceptional value! Pros Inflates quickly - takes just a few minutes. Packs up nicely in storage bag, fits easily in my car trunk and bedroom closet at home. Easy to get on and paddle. No different than rigid SUP models I've tried. For an inflatable SUP, the 100SL tracks surprisingly well and is a joy to paddle. Cons Although inflating is easy, it was somewhat difficult to decompress ALL the air when folding up for storage. This makes it a little harder to keep it clean from mud and sand when you're in a hurry. (the in-store demo was done on carpet, and a nice level showroom floor) I guess a simple ground tarp would help eliminate this problem. Usage I use my AirSUP 100SL primarily for exercise, and light touring at my local state park lake. Compared with my kayak, the 100SL is getting a lot more usage thanks to it's super convenient size.

Sturdy solid boat for any beginner. The cost is offset by the resell value. I would recommend this boat to any friend or anyone just starting off paddling. It is also very easy to store.
