I bought this kayak for my daughter, as I am a bit heavy for it - rated for up to 180 lbs, but even supposedly overloaded it paddles like a dream. I mostly loan it to friends who paddle with me as they generally like it better than they do their own kayaks. We have paddled it in protected waters but would be a good surf or dive boat. One of the Canadian-built Neckys, premium quality, still in excellent functional condition. I replaced the soft side carrying handles with hard handles that give better control. Also removed the original cockpit storage compartment with twist off/lock down type lid and replaced it with one with twist toggle type lid. See photos. I include original.
