Eddyline Samba (Sitka ST current name)
DescriptionThe Samba is a shorter, lighter sea kayak for the small paddler. Eddyline has it in production now as the “Sitka ST”. The boat is made in Carbonite 2000, a thermo-formed ABS laminate that creates a hull that rivals the qualities of fiberglass but is lighter in weight. It is abrasion- and UV-resistant. The hull material is very stiff and has a hard, glossy appearance that resists abrasion and impact while remaining easy to repair. Hard chines and a 22.5” beam provide medium initial stability and medium to high secondary stability. It's fast for a 13' boat. The adjustable seat and back-band and contoured thigh braces provide support and comfort. The drop-down skeg (fin) allows for straight tracking: use it in crosswinds, currents, or contrary wave directions. Bulkheads and hatches, perimeter lines, deck bungees and retractable carry handles complete the boat. The whole package includes a Werner carbon-fiber paddle, spray skirt and paddling jacket. The cart and splash skirt in the photos are not included. Although the boat is in northern NY as of this posting, I will be bringing it to DeLand, FL, so it is possible that I could meet a buyer on the way south if not too far from my chosen route. The reason for sale is that the boat is just a bit too long for my Florida storage, and I will be buying the shorter Eddyline Rio. Eddyline makes a great boat! • Specs: Length, 13 ft. 10 in.; Width, 22.5 inches; Depth, 12.5 inches; Weight, 43 lb.; Seat, padded foam; Hatch capacity, Bow: 3,110 / stern: 4,147 cubic inches; Weight capacity, 300# • Pick up in Potsdam, NY, cash only, please.
