I bought this boat in 1992. I have not used it since 2005 following arthritic "changes" to my spine and a nasty bus crash in 2011. My only modifications were to build up the coaming so that a spray skirt worked and to add a back brace.
The boat has only scratches and minor dings. I used it primarily on flat water, even the ocean (very tippy), and on the West River. It is much faster than other downriver boats I have owned: Seda, Phoenix Match 3.
On whitewater the boat is somewhat tippy as long as you keep paddling. Just floating on flat or whitewater is very tippy. It is NOT for a beginner kayaker unless you are patient and confident long-term. :-) I would not recommend that you use it to fish even in calm water.
